Lampwork classes in Atlanta August 18 & 19

Aug 18 Saturday: BEGINNING BEADWORK
Limit 5 beginning students

Aug 19 Sunday, 10 am - noon: WHEELS
Limit 8 intermediate students
2 hour class for the student who has confidence in working with Mapp gas and a Hot Head. Beads will
be cooled in class and can be left to be annealed or taken by the student for annealing at their studio.
Class fee $25.00.
We will be working with COE104. Students are welcome to bring their own glass or purchase rods in class.

- color suggestions
- how to use the wheels after making them
There will be a supply list sent to students for this class of some glass tools to bring.

4½ hour class for $30.00 (10:00 am - 2:30 pm)
patsy provides everything except one tank of Mapp gas, which can be found at WalMart, Home Depot,
Lowe's or Ace.
Beginning lampwork students will:
- review personal and environmental safety issues
- learn how to prepare and glass wrap a mandrel
- Learn to make a round bead
- learn to pull stringers and how to use them
- learn to apply dots with rods and with stringers.
Beads will be cooled in a fiber blanket, inspected in class, and then annealed overnight. Students may
pick up their beads the next day or make arrangements to get them at a later date.
